How the list aged
Azuki remained the reference anime collection, but its June 2023 Elementals drop triggered a sharp sell-off: the floor fell from about 17 ETH to 6 ETH in a week (The Block). It trades around 0.55 ETH in October 2026 (CoinGecko). See the full Azuki page.
For most other entries, public market data is thin or no longer maintained. That is typical of 2022 collections that lost liquidity. This archive does not publish floor prices it cannot verify. If you hold one of these collections, check the floor and recent sales on a marketplace before relying on any figure.
What made anime NFTs popular in 2022
- A recognisable art style that worked well as a profile picture.
- Strong overlap with existing anime and gaming communities, especially in Asia.
- Azuki's success, which made "anime PFP" a category that many projects copied.
